Before-the-Flop Betting

Later on, your betting decisions should be determined by the events at the table. For instance, if a player bets before you do and you are holding a great hand, you need to call only if you have less than three times the amount of the blind. The point is that another player believes they hold a great hand too; you want to enter into the hand without it costing you too much.
But if you are the first person at the table to place your bet, you can bet three times more than the blind because it is most likely that the other players who bet after you will either call or fold. Do not allow them into the blind through checking – make them come to a decision. Hopefully, there will be no additional hands in the blind and the game will bow to your bet. After-the-Flop Betting
Once the flop is over, you need to keep pushing through the game. You must convince your fellow poker players that your strong, before-flop hand has transformed into a force to be reckoned with. Those who decided not to hit during the flop will usually fold. But if you make the mistake of becoming lax with your game, they will draw.
Above all else, remember to not take unnecessary chances and to do whatever necessary to stay active at the table. Once you enter into a hand with as little money as possible, switch over to aggressive playing. Do not worry about having to eliminate other players from the double-or-nothing table; allow the to push others out by themselves; this is the key to having a positive cash flow.
